Yes: Venturi can be used with CDMA modems other than with the PC5220 and AC555 PC cards. However, the dialer software delivered with those modems is designed to activate and deactivate Venturi. Since the dialer software delivered with your CDMA modem may not be sending Venturi the signal to activate, you will need to configure Venturi to be controlled manually.

To get Venturi up-and-running on your computer, please follow the procedure below:

If you see this icon in your system tray, your dialer is not turning Venturi optimization ON. To solve this, please do the following:

1) From your desktop, go to

2) Double click on the file named "noauto" (noauto.bat)

3) From your system tray, exit Venturi2 completely

4) Go to the Start Menu>All Programs>Venturi2>Venturi2

6) Open a new browser -- Venturi should be running

Your Venturi client is now configured for manual control.
