How does Venturi work?

Venturi is comprised of various modules that, when strategically combined, ensure the highest level of performance, manageability and reliability in the industry.

1 -	Network Protocol Optimization
	Venturi uses a reliable UDP/IP network protocol optimization to overcome TCP/IP limitations resulting in up to 10 times increased speed, minimal bandwidth consumption, and higher network reliability.
2 -	Data Specific Compression
	Venturi utilizes content specific compression to maximize data compression based on data type. Typically, data specific compression yields 30% to 40% better performance than generic compression.
3 -	Transparent Caching
	Venturi's transparent caching monitors frequent requests for objects and stores objects for later use closer to the end-user's browser. In addition, it parses top-level HTML pages and prefetches all referenced images and frames.
4 -	Client Authentication
	Services Providers and Enterprises can fortify their networks by using Venturi's Client Authentication module based on three different methods:
	RADIUS Authentication IP Address Authentication Password Authentication
5 -	Load Balancing
	Venturi's powerful load balancing module effectively routes traffic to the right server using either Round Trip Time (RTT-based) or Round Robin DNS Routing, depending on the preference and network needs of the customer.
6 -	Redundancy and Auto Fail Over
	Venturi monitors the current state of the network and automatically detects down servers. When a server is down, Venturi switches to the best alternative server using Round Trip Time (if redundancy is ON). If redundancy is not ON, Venturi switches to bypass mode, eliminating the risk of single point of failure.
7 -	Diagnostics
	The module consists of internal and external diagnostics to help isolate problems, including:
	Network connectivity tests DNS name resolution Ping Web page fetch
8-	Statistics
	Venturi offers a wide range of statistics to help control operating costs, including statistics by: usage, health, and performance. These statistics are available via WebNMS, SNMP, and by FTP push.
