SUNNYVALE, Calif.—October 24 , 2006—Venturi Wireless, a global provider of mobile broadband services optimization, today announced the immediate availability of its V5000 Optimization Engine.  The V5000 allows mobile and wireless operators to more quickly adapt to accelerating demand for high bandwidth data and multimedia services, while new capabilities further enhance subscriber experience for email and video streaming over 2.5G, 3G and 4G networks.  The company is currently deploying the V5000 in two live operator networks in the Asia Pacific region and is conducting trials with several other mobile operators.

The V5000 includes a carrier-grade server appliance and the company’s optimization server software, featuring Venturi’s patented Adaptive Airlink Optimization™ technology.  The V5000, which replaces the V3000 product series, offers mobile and wireless operators and their subscribers the following additional advantages:
