Wireless, a global provider of 3G mobile optimization
solutions, today announced the appointment of Ed

and operating distributed antenna system networks
to expand carrier coverage and capacity. Additionally,
Mr. Gentile's extensive experience includes positions
as vice president of operations for Metricom's

customers," said Bret Sewell, CEO of Venturi Wireless. "His
knowledge of wireless data infrastructure combined
with extensive experience supporting and implementing
large customer deployments, will be invaluable
as we extend our carrier-grade product and service
offerings."
Venturi Wireless solutions optimize the performance
of data services for wireless carriers. The company's
Adaptive Airlink Optimization(TM) is a cross layer
technology designed to solve the fundamental problems
of wireless data transport for all Internet services,
including browsing, multimedia, email, file transfer
and business applications. Venturi's cross layer
optimization goes beyond simple compression (application
layer optimization) to virtually eliminate the
inefficiencies of TCP at the transport layer, offering
mobile data users accelerated access speeds, fewer
dropped sessions and interruptions, and a more
consistent overall user experience.
"Venturi Wireless is a market leader that offers
measurable value to the wireless carrier in terms
of improving their end-subscriber experience and
creating additional efficiencies in their network," said
Mr. Gentile. "I look forward to working with the
organization to ensure that the delivery and support
of our solution exceeds our customers' high expectations."
