Venturi Product Line Includes New Enterprise Offering with High Speed and Secure Wireless Access for Mobile Workers

SUNNYVALE, CA., (April 14, 2003) Venturi Wireless today announced a new family of wireless optimizers that provide optimization solutions for mobile carriers and their enterprise customers. A key requirement to the widespread adoption of wireless data services is speed, and the new Venturi product line delivers the fastest wireless experience available, increasing network speeds up to 5X and supporting the broadest range of data applications and mobile platforms.

According to a recent study by the Wireless IT Research Group, 81% of users surveyed require bandwidth of 56kbps or greater to adopt wireless data services, with the majority calling for speed in excess of 112kbps. The reality of current wireless data networks, which provide access speeds of 20-40kbps, does not match user expectations and requirements. Venturi solutions increase the user experience to broadband like speeds typically in the 100-300kbps range.
