Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our growing Next Generation Solutions team. This position will be responsible for driving the development of the Venturi Client Product on mobile environments and platforms, while ensuring that the integration into multiple device models is as frictionless as possible. Experience in architecting, designing and developing applications for feature phones and smartphones will be critical to success in this role.

Design and implement the Venturi Client Software

Participate in developing the architecture

 |
Performance tuning and porting the Venturi Client to various platforms and environments
|
 |
Follow relevant technology trends, standards, and industry direction |
Desired Qualifications:
 |
3+ years hands on experience implementing C/C++ applications on mobile devices
|
 |
Experience in open source web browser engines like WebKit, and web browser programming interfaces
|
 |
Product development experience on one or more of the following OS environments: Windows, Windows Mobile, MAC OS X, Symbian
|
 |
Experience working on one or more products developed for Nokia, Apple, Motorola, and other mobile devices
|
 |
Good understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols
|
 |
Good understanding of networking fundamentals like socket level programming
|
 |
Hands on experience in implementing applications in Objective C, C# is a plus
|
 |
Familiarity of Java, JavaScript, JSP, PHP, AJAX, XML, CSS is a plus
|
 |
Knowledge of scripting languages, PERL, CGI is a plus
|
 |
Product development experience on Android, BREW, MAC OS X, .NET is a plus
|
 |
Experience in understanding Flash, XLST, XHTML, DOM and Silverlight is a plus
|
 |
Good understanding of FTP, SMTP, POP3, FTP, RTP/RSSP is a plus
|
Education Requirements:
BSCS/EE required, MSCS/EE preferred
